Our Story
The WABIO Foundation is a non-governmental organisation which basically seeks to restore, as well as sustain the self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, and life ambition of girls and women which may have been dented or even lost following childbirth. WABIO is an acronym which represents Women Are Beautiful Inside and Out.
The WABIO vision is to be one of the major contributors to the Sustainable Development Goals (S.D.Gs) of promoting gender equality, empowering women and improving maternal health.
The mission is to constantly remind women and girls that beauty transcends the physical, by churning out and engaging in inspiring programs which encourage same.
Founder’s Profile
Ebele Enemchukwu is the second among five siblings, and was born on May 26. She hails from Nnewi in Anambra State, Nigeria, and has been married to Emeka Enemchukwu since May 2008, and blessed with three adorable children.
She holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the Abia State University and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University Of Lagos.
A Training Specialist, Ebele has experience in the Customer Care segment of the telecommunications industry spanning over 11 years.
Describing her in 5 words, she is STRONG, PASSIONATE, COMPASSIONATE, INTELLIGENT, CONFIDENT. These qualities make her beautiful, not only on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside.
The WABIO Foundation which was conceived during Ebele’s reign as both National and International Queen, believes these qualities and more are resident in women and can indeed be made more manifest.
Ebele is an ex Beauty Queen, a Compere and a Professional Make-up Artist. She believes there is no limit to what a woman can achieve, which with proper application, can only make for a better Nigeria.
